Job Posting: KGLRC Program Director

The Resource Center is currently seeking a Program Director. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Executive Director. Qualified persons should submit a resume and cover letter via email to zachary@kglrc.org by August 31, 2012.

Position Information:

The director is responsible for planning, organizing and managing all aspects of organizations program development and implementation. The Director of Programs is directly responsible to the Executive Director and works in cooperation with Center staff, board and volunteers to ensure program effectiveness, cohesiveness, and growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Create and implement relevant and effective programs.
  2. Conduct monthly program committee meetings.
  3. Supervise design and maintenance of program outcome data, demographics of program participants.
  4. Work with Executive Director to prepare, submit, and track grant requests. Supervise grant reporting as directed.
  5. Supervise and manage program budgets and grants.
  6. Provide program information for appropriate promotion of programs.
  7. Coordinate and schedule space management with event coordinators and groups renting Center space.
  8. Recruit, interview and supervise all program interns.
  9. Represent the Center, through oral and written communications.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate program promotion
  2. Post daily schedule of events for the Center.
  3. Maintain personnel schedule for program staff.
  4. Assists in development of Center grant requests.
  5. Assist clients and drop in visitors.
  6. Attends board meetings
  7. Prepares weekly reports of all activities to the Executive Director

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise Youth Activities Coordinator
  2. Supervise all other program staff

Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of non-profit program development and implementation
  • The ideal candidate must be professional and organized.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • B.A. in related field
  • Knowledge of grant writing, submission and reporting.
  • Ability to manage budgets.
